Unqualified Teaching Assistant – 1:1 Support (ASD)
Location: L24, South Liverpool
Contract Type: Full-Time (Term Time Only)
Salary: Weekly pay - Starting at £13.50+ per hour

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate individual to join a thriving primary school in L24 as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant. You’ll work closely with a young learner with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), helping them navigate the school day, achieve their potential, and thrive in a supportive and inclusive environment.
This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in one child’s educational journey. As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will:
•Build a trusting and nurturing relationship with the child, becoming their key point of support.
•Assist with classroom activities, adapting tasks to meet their individual needs.
•Implement strategies to support the child’s emotional regulation, communication, and social skills.
•Provide encouragement and celebrate achievements to boost confidence and independence.
•Collaborate with the class teacher and SEN team to ensure tailored learning experiences.
No formal qualifications? No problem! We’re looking for someone with the right attitude, empathy, and dedication. Ideally, you will have:
•A genuine passion for working with children and helping them succeed.
•Patience, resilience, and a positive mindset.
•Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships.
•Some experience working with children (formal or informal, e.g., volunteering, childcare, youth work).
•Experience supporting children with ASD is a bonus but not essential – full training and guidance will be provided.
