Description
A well-established international bank is seeking an experienced finance professional to join their team in Guernsey. This key role will support the production of financial, management, and regulatory reporting, while also contributing to ongoing performance forecasting and planning.
Responsibilities of the Role
• Assist in the preparation of management accounts, group reporting packs, and regulatory reports.
• Support the development of draft commentaries for internal review.
• Contribute to the preparation of statutory financial statements and tax returns for submission to external advisors and authorities.
• Develop and enhance internal finance procedures.
• Aid in compiling financial budgets, plans, and forecasts.
• Review reconciliations of nostro and impersonal accounts.
• Manage the purchase ledger process, including invoice workflows and authorisation procedures.
• Produce or review ad-hoc financial and regulatory analyses as required.
Qualifications and Experience Required
• ACCA or CIMA part-qualified, or CAT qualified, with a minimum of three years’ relevant experience—preferably within a financial services organisation.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, with the ability to build and manipulate complex spreadsheets.
• Familiarity with reporting standards such as US GAAP, UK GAAP, or IFRS.
• Experience working within a financial control environment.
• Prior use of accounting and banking platforms such as BM+, T24, or SAP.
• Understanding of GFSC regulatory reporting and Basel III requirements.
