Business Development Manager – Construction Company
Base: East Lancashire to North Yorkshire
Salary: £32,000 – £35,000 + Performance Bonuses
Contract: Full-time

We’re looking for a confident, outgoing Business Development Manager who thrives on building relationships, spotting opportunities, and driving business growth.
If you’re experienced in B2B sales or business development (3–5 years) and have the personality to make a lasting impression, this is an opportunity to make your mark in a respected and growing construction business.
You’ll be working across two regional offices and travelling throughout the North of England — connecting with clients, developing new relationships, and expanding business across multiple sectors.

To help you reach your targets there is a solid database of existing business that has warm opportunities waiting for you. Our client understands brand new business takes time to convert, but there are lots of opportunities within the existing clients that you can start working on to get ahead. The targets are a mix of financial and activity to help you get the most out of the role.

You’ll:
• Build strong relationships with new and existing clients
• Develop accounts and identify opportunities for growth across multiple branches and regions
• Represent the business at meetings, events, and industry functions
• Deliver confident, professional presentations and proposals
• Collaborate with leadership and marketing teams to refine strategy and drive engagement
• Manage your own pipeline and exceed realistic sales targets

Who We’re Looking For

You’re confident, personable, and proactive — the kind of person who makes things happen.

You’ll bring:
• 3–5 years’ experience in business development or sales
• A polished, professional approach with excellent communication skills
• The confidence to present, pitch, and represent a premium brand
• A natural ability to build rapport and long-term relationships
• A results-driven attitude with strong organisation and follow-up skills
• Flexibility to travel regularly between offices, networking events, trade shows and client sites
• Knowledge of construction industry
• A full clean driving licence with access to own vehicle
