**Job Title**: Class Teacher

**The Role**:

As a Class Teacher, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality education to small classes of students displaying challenging behavior. The position requires a compassionate, resilient, and adaptive approach to teaching, focusing on the individual needs of each student.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Deliver a differentiated curriculum tailored to the needs of students with SEMH.
- Engage students with innovative and interactive teaching methods.
- Develop Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and set achievable targets for students.
- Foster a safe, positive, and inspiring classroom environment.
- Collaborate with teaching assistants to effectively support students' learning.
- Implement behavior management strategies consistent with school policies.
- Monitor and assess students' academic growth and socio-emotional development.
- Communicate with parents, carers, and external agencies to support the well-being and progress of students.
- Participate in continuous professional development and staff meetings.
- Contribute to the school's culture, ethos, and reputation both internally and in the broader community.

**Requirements**:

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Proven experience working with students with SEMH and challenging behavior is preferred.
- A strong understanding of the curriculum and pedagogical strategies for inclusive education.
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to build rapport with students.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
