Description

A well-established provider of private client, fund administration, and corporate services is seeking an experienced Client Accountant/Bookkeeper to join its Trust & Corporate department in Guernsey. Open to reduced hours (min of 30 hrs per week). Trust experiences essential but open to seeing solid bookkeeping candidates with account prep experience.

The firm supports a global client base that includes high-net-worth individuals, families, and corporate institutions, and is undergoing a period of strategic growth and investment.

This diverse role involves maintaining accurate accounting records and ensuring timely communication with clients and business partners. Working closely with administrative and accounting teams, this position plays a vital part in delivering exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities
• Bookkeeping and transaction processing using internal accounting software
• Maintaining up-to-date accounting records, including bank statements and legal documents
• Preparing financial statements and backup working papers
• Reconciling ledger items and maintaining supporting schedules
• Assisting with the maintenance of loan interest schedules
• Monitoring changes in financial, legal, and regulatory frameworks
• Collaborating with administration teams on queries and maintaining high standards of client service
• Daily time entry and occasional ad hoc duties as required

What You Need
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar accounting or bookkeeping role within the finance industry
• Understanding of trust and company structures
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• High level of accuracy and organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word at an intermediate level
• Experience with various accounting and banking platforms
• Flexible approach and team-player attitude
