Job Title: Experienced Complex Needs Teacher
Location: Surrey, Sutton London
Contract: Full time, Mon-Fri
Hours: 8:00am-4:00pm
Salary: Competitive, Paid to Scale

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Complex Needs Teacher to join our supportive teaching team in the heart of Surrey, Sutton London. This full-time position offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity to work with students who have a range of complex educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:
• Plan, deliver and assess individualized and group lessons that cater to the specific needs of each pupil, adapting teaching methods to support students' learning and development.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and educational psychologists, to implement effective educational plans.
• Engage pupils with innovative and stimulating learning activities that promote their intellectual, emotional, and social growth.
• Utilize a range of resources and assistive technologies to facilitate communication, learning, and inclusion.
• Establish a safe, positive, and nurturing classroom environment that allows pupils to feel secure and motivated to learn.
• Develop and maintain effective communication with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure a cohesive approach to student development.
• Keep accurate records of pupil progress and contribute to review meetings, ensuring all documentation is up to date.

Requirements:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent in the U.K.
• Proven experience teaching students with complex and varied needs, including those with severe, profound, and multiple learning difficulties.
• A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach to teaching with a commitment to every child's success.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with pupils, staff, and parents.
• A strong understanding of safeguarding and a commitment to the wellbeing of children.
