Key Responsibilities
In this role, the successful candidate will focus on the delivery, enhancement, and monitoring of internal compliance and risk frameworks. Key duties include:
• Risk Systems Management: Maintaining and developing internal controls and risk registers within Riskonnect, ensuring complete accuracy, completeness, and audit readiness.
• Performance Monitoring: Tracking Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), KPIs, and associated action plans, ensuring timely escalation of issues and effective remediation tracking.
• Compliance Monitoring Programme (CMP): Undertaking dedicated monitoring activities to assess control effectiveness, identify gaps, and recommend process improvements.
• Financial Crime Compliance Support: Assisting with Client Due Diligence (CDD) processes and tracking AML project remediation within the Financial Crime Compliance Team.
• Policy & Regulatory Alignment: Supporting the MLCO with the development, maintenance, version control, and periodic review of the policy suite while validating regulatory requirements.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Building strong working relationships across the Group to promote a robust culture of risk awareness and provide clear, timely guidance on compliance queries.
Skills and Experience Required:
• Industry Experience: A minimum of 3+ years of experience within a Risk, Compliance, or Operational Risk environment.
• Systems Expertise: Direct experience managing and maintaining risk, control, or incident data within specialized risk systems (such as Riskonnect or an equivalent platform).
• Framework Knowledge: A solid understanding of risk frameworks, internal controls, and corporate monitoring processes.
• Regulatory Exposure: Prior exposure to Client Due Diligence (CDD), AML/CFT/CPF, or general financial crime compliance processes is highly advantageous.
• Technical Skills: Strong IT literacy and data handling capabilities, with the ability to analyze data to support executive reporting and audit trails.
