Axcis is working with an amazing special school in the Solihull area who specialise in supporting children and young people with complex Autism, the school caters to individuals aged 4 to 19 years, tailoring their provision to each individual’s needs including sensory dysregulation, non/pre-verbal communication and challenging/distressing behaviour.
The school requires 2-3 cover supervisors for day to day absence cover across the primary and secondary departments. Experience of working within a special school, resource hub or alternative SEN provision is required along with degree level education.
The role will be to lead the class by:
• Following and implementing the planning left by the class teacher
• Leading and supporting the team of teaching assistants within the class
• Supporting the learning of the children you are allocated
• Maintaining control of the class, as a whole, at all times
• Working within different classes through the day and across the week

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service required or we’re happy to carry out a new one ahead of you starting the position – Essential
• Minimum of 2 good references – Essential
