Description
Deputy General Manager – Stylish Food-Led Country Inn
Up to £34,000 + Tips + Bonus
Full Time – 45 hours per week
Location: Preston Area
This isn’t your standard pub management role.
We’re working with a beautifully designed, award-winning country inn that’s built a reputation for exceptional food, warm hospitality, and a genuinely great atmosphere — and they’re now looking for a charismatic Deputy General Manager to become the heartbeat of the front-of-house operation.
If you’re the kind of leader who brings energy into a room, loves creating memorable guest experiences, and knows how to get the very best out of a team without losing your personality in the process, this could be exactly the move you’ve been waiting for.
The Role
You’ll work closely with the General Manager to help lead a busy, premium hospitality operation where standards are high, but the environment is supportive, fun, and people-focused.
You’ll be:
• Leading from the floor and setting the tone for service
• Inspiring, coaching, and developing a close-knit FOH team
• Creating a welcoming, polished guest experience every shift
• Supporting recruitment, training, and team culture
• Driving standards across food, drinks, and overall presentation
• Taking ownership of the business in the GM’s absence
This role would suit someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment but still understands the importance of personality, atmosphere, and genuine hospitality.
About You
• Experienced in hospitality management within a quality food-led venue
• Naturally engaging, confident, and people-focused
• Hands-on leader who enjoys being part of the operation
• Organised, commercially aware, and calm under pressure
• Passionate about service, fresh food, and creating experiences guests remember
• Someone with warmth, presence, and the ability to build a strong team culture
• Ambitious and ready to grow within a successful business
What’s In It For You?
• Salary up to £34,000
• Generous TRONC & cash tips
• Profit share bonus scheme
• Flexible shift patterns
• Enhanced holiday allowance
• Excellent training & development opportunities
• Apprenticeship programmes tailored to your progression
• Wage streaming – access your pay when you need it
• Long service rewards & birthday gifts
• A genuinely supportive and people-first culture
