We are recruiting for an experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to join a welcoming and well-established early years setting in Watford. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate childcare professional who is committed to delivering outstanding care and education while supporting and developing a dedicated nursery team.
About the Nursery
This nurturing nursery provides high-quality early years education and care for children from 3 months to 5 years, creating a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment where every child is encouraged to learn, grow and thrive.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Nursery Manager with the day-to-day running of the nursery.
Lead, motivate and develop the nursery team to deliver outstanding childcare.
Ensure compliance with EYFS, Ofsted and safeguarding requirements.
Maintain high standards of health and safety across the setting.
Build positive relationships with children, parents and carers.
Support staff recruitment, induction, training and performance.
Monitor children's learning and development and ensure accurate records are maintained.
Deputise for the Nursery Manager when required.
About You
Previous experience as a Senior Leader within a nursery setting is essential.
Hold a full and relevant Early Years qualification.
Strong knowledge of the EYFS and Ofsted requirements.
Confident leading teams and supporting staff development.
Passionate about providing exceptional care and learning opportunities for young children.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
