HR / ER Operations Manager / HR Business Partner
Coventry
£70,000 + Hybrid Working (4 days on-site, 1 day remote)
Are you an experienced HR Operations Manager who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment? Are you ready to step into a leadership role that blends HR operational excellence with strategic business partnering? We have an exciting opportunity for a driven HR / ER Operations Manager with HR Business Partnering responsibilities to join a high-impact HR team based in Coventry.
Working for this global Manufacturing / Engineering business, you will be responsible for leading a small HR Operations team of 3 HR Adviosrs, while acting as a key HR Business Partner to a defined stakeholder group. With a strong focus on Employee Relations, People Operations, HR project delivery and HR Data, you’ll help shape the future of a site that has recently experienced significant transformation.
What You’ll Be Doing
Lead and develop a team of 3 HR Specialists/Advisors and 1 HR Administrator to deliver high-quality HR support across the business.
Manage the delivery and evolution of HR Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to ensure consistent, effective support across all business areas.
Partner with senior leaders to deliver people solutions aligned to wider business strategy, including talent development, succession planning, engagement, L&D and DE&I initiatives.
Drive continuous improvement across all people processes – from policy implementation to ER case management.
Take ownership of complex ER cases and manage high-volume casework, coaching managers and supporting the wider HR team.
Oversee and support cyclical people processes including performance management, compensation review, and workforce planning.
Analyse and report monthly people metrics, identify trends and take action to drive improvements across the site.
Deliver tailored engagement initiatives to support an inclusive, high-performing culture.
Key Background:
Significant HR generalist experience, ideally with a strong Employee Relations focus in a large, matrixed or manufacturing/engineering environment.
Proven experience leading and developing HR teams to deliver effective operational HR services.
Ability to influence and partner with senior stakeholders, with strong business acumen and a strategic mindset.
Demonstrated success in managing end-to-end employee lifecycle processes and supporting large-scale change initiatives.
Data-driven mindset with the ability to translate people metrics into actionable insights.
Excellent knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
