Job Title: KS1 Teaching Assistant
Location: M7
Contract: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–3:30pm
Pay: From £13.50 per hour (dependent on experience)
Axcis Education is currently recruiting a dedicated and enthusiastic KS1 teaching assistant to support pupils in a welcoming and inclusive primary school setting. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children in Key Stage 1 and making a meaningful impact on their early educational journey.
You will work closely with the class teacher to provide tailored support, help create an engaging learning environment, and assist pupils with both academic and social development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging KS1 lessons
• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils
• Assist children with literacy, numeracy, and phonics activities
• Support pupils with additional learning needs where required
• Help manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Contribute to creating a safe, positive, and inclusive environment
Requirements:
• Previous experience working in a primary school setting (KS1 preferred)
• A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Enhanced Child and Adult DBS registered on the Update Service
OR
Willingness to obtain a DBS through Axcis Education
