SEN Support Assistant – Secondary School | Waltham Forest (E17)
Full-Time | 8:15am – 4:00pm | ASAP Start After Half Term
A secondary school in Waltham Forest (E17) is seeking a committed and resilient Support Assistant to join their team full-time from immediately after the half term break.
This role involves working closely with students who have complex learning needs and challenging behaviour, providing structured support to help them access education and develop key life skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Delivering 1:1 and small group support for students with complex educational and behavioural needs
Assisting teachers in implementing individual learning and behaviour support plans
Supporting students with emotional regulation, communication and social interaction
Managing challenging behaviour in a calm and consistent manner while promoting independence and engagement
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Have experience working with secondary-aged students with complex needs and behavioural challenges
Demonstrate strong behaviour management and interpersonal skills
Be patient, proactive and committed to inclusive education
Be available to start ASAP after half term on a full-time basis
