Pay Rate: Day rate from £89 depending on experience

Axcis Education are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic learning mentor to support students in a vibrant college environment. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. You will work closely with teaching staff and support teams to provide tailored guidance, motivation, and emotional support to students aged 16+.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide 1:1 and small group mentoring to students
• Support learners with academic, social, or emotional challenges
• Promote positive engagement, attendance, and achievement
• Assist in setting individual targets and tracking progress
• Collaborate with college staff to implement personalised learning plans
• Safeguard student wellbeing and follow safeguarding procedures

Requirements:
• Experience working with young people in an educational or mentoring capacity
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to manage challenging behaviour and support diverse learning needs
• A flexible, patient, and empathetic approach
• Enhanced child and adult DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one)
• Right to work in the UK

Desirable (but not essential):
• Qualification in mentoring, youth work, or education support
• Experience within a college or post-16 setting
