Job Title: Learning Support Assistant – College Setting
Location: OL8
Employer: Axcis Education
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm
Contract: Agency, term time only
Pay: From £13.50 per hour (dependent on experience)
Axcis Education is currently seeking a dedicated and reliable learning support assistant to work within a college setting supporting students aged 16+. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) as they progress through further education.
You will work closely with teaching staff to provide tailored support to students, helping them to access learning, develop independence, and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supporting students aged 16+ within a college learning environment
• Providing 1:1 and small group support to learners with SEND
• Assisting students to engage with lessons and college life
• Promoting independence, confidence, and inclusion
• Working collaboratively with teaching and support staff
Essential Requirements:
• Experience working with pupils in a college or further education setting
• Professional or personal experience supporting students with SEND
• Punctual, reliable, and committed
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• An enhanced child and adult DBS registered on the Update Service
