Key Responsibilities – Learning Support Assistant
As a Learning Support Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional learning needs
Supporting children’s communication, emotional regulation, and social development
Assisting the class teacher with engaging and inclusive activities
Helping to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment
Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive behaviour
Supporting children during classroom activities, playtimes, and transitions
Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and parents
Implementing EHCP targets and personalised support strategies where required
Relevant Qualifications & Experience

Desirable Qualifications:
CACHE Level 2 or 3
Teaching Assistant Qualification
Health & Social Care Qualification
Childcare or Early Years Qualification
Psychology or Education-related degree
Team Teach or behaviour management training (desirable but not essential)
Experience That Would Be Beneficial:
Experience supporting children with SEND
Nursery, preschool, or primary school experience
Experience working with Autism or speech and language needs
Youth work, mentoring, or coaching experience
Care work or support worker experience
Experience supporting vulnerable individuals
