Description

Join this independent professional services group as a Legal Manager supporting the in-house legal team during a key project period. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of legal guidance across trust, company, regulatory and employment matters within a collaborative, multi-jurisdictional environment.

Based in Guernsey, the successful candidate will work closely with senior legal colleagues, supporting the business with the review of policies, contracts and documentation, while assisting with internal projects and training initiatives. This fixed-term contract offers variety, autonomy and the chance to play a central role in strengthening the Group’s legal function.

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
• Drafting legal documentation to support trust distributions, terminations, beneficiary changes, and loan arrangements.
• Reviewing, drafting and maintaining precedent documents used across administration teams.
• Conducting legal research, preparing legal updates, and contributing to board reports.
• Reviewing external contracts, including those related to third-party and technology service providers.
• Delivering legal training sessions to enhance internal legal awareness across teams.
• Assisting with the review and maintenance of internal policies and procedures.
• Supporting the delivery of legal services across the Group’s offices as part of a growing Centre of Excellence.
• Contributing to the management of internal legal queries and ad-hoc project work.

The successful applicant will:
• Hold a law degree or equivalent legal qualification.
• Have experience in a legal environment, ideally in-house within financial services.
• Be considered with less than 3 years’ PQE, where relevant experience is demonstrated.
• Understand the Guernsey and/or offshore legal and regulatory environment.
• Possess excellent attention to detail and strong written communication skills.
• Be confident in legal drafting, policy interpretation and contract review.
• Show initiative, independence, and sound judgement.
• Be client-focused, team-oriented and proactive in approach.
