About the Role
Axcis Education is recruiting a Level 3 Teaching Assistant with teaching experience to join a fantastic Primary Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Manchester. You will work across two supportive and well-structured sites (M20 & M13), supporting pupils with SEMH, behavioural needs, and barriers to learning.
This is a rewarding role for someone who is passionate about making a difference to children who need additional support in a nurturing, structured environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Supporting pupils in a Primary PRU environment (EYFS–KS2)
• Delivering learning activities, including one designated teaching/learning day per week
• Providing 1:1 and small group intervention
• Supporting behaviour management and emotional regulation
• Working collaboratively with teachers, pastoral staff and SENCOs
• Maintaining a calm, consistent and trauma-informed approach
Requirements
? Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (required)
? Teaching experience (formal or informal)
? Experience supporting SEMH / behavioural needs
? Strong behaviour management skills
? Resilient, confident, and adaptable
? Willingness to work across two PRU sites (M20 & M13)
Experience within a PRU or specialist provision is desirable but not essential for the right candidate.
