Axcis is working with a forward-thinking alternative provision in Bolton to recruit enthusiastic Outdoor Education Practitioners for full-time, permanent roles. Day Rate: £100+ (dependent on experience & qualifications)
Location: Bolton
Contract: Full Time, Temp to Perm
Hours: Mon–Thu 8:20am–4:20pm | Fri 8:20am–2:30pm

Your Role Outdoors:
Lead and support young people (ages 11–16) through engaging, nature-based learning experiences. From forest school sessions to Duke of Edinburgh-style activities, you’ll help students build confidence, resilience, and essential life skills beyond the classroom.
• Deliver outdoor education programmes and therapeutic activities
• Support students with SEMH needs in practical, active settings
• Facilitate off-site trips including hiking, bushcraft, and community experiences
• Encourage teamwork, independence, and personal growth
Ideal Backgrounds:
• Forest School Practitioner
• Duke of Edinburgh Instructor / Outdoor Activity Leader
• Youth Worker with outdoor experience
• Sports or adventure-based coach
• Someone who is passionate about the outdoors and wants to work with students aged 11-16
What We’re Looking For:
• Experience working with young people aged 11–16
• Understanding of SEMH needs and how to support them outdoors
• Full UK driving licence (essential)
• Energetic, adaptable, and proactive approach
• A great sense of humour and resilience
• Commitment to a full-time, long-term role
