Are you an experienced People professional who thrives on building from the ground up? Do you enjoy creating people strategies, implementing best practice and partnering with senior leaders in a high-growth environment? If so, we'd love to hear from you.

We're partnering with an ambitious, private equity-backed technology business to recruit a newly created People & Culture Lead. This is a rare opportunity to establish and shape the people function within a fast-growing international organisation.

Reporting directly to the CFO and supported by a retained HR consultancy, you'll be the go-to People expert, responsible for creating scalable people practices that support an exciting period of growth across the UK, Norway and soon to be the wider European region, with global expansion plans on the horizon.

The Role:
As the company's first in-house People hire, you'll take ownership of the full employee lifecycle and build a people function fit for the future. Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, you'll help drive the people agenda as the business continues to scale across Europe and into new international markets.

Your responsibilities will include:
Building and embedding the company's People & Culture function from the ground up.
Developing and implementing HR policies, processes and employee documentation.
Ensuring compliance with UK employment legislation while supporting the wider European people agenda.
Managing reward and benefits programmes.
Overseeing Health & Safety and people-related compliance.
Leading recruitment across the business and supporting talent acquisition.
Supporting global mobility as the organisation expands internationally.
Designing and implementing learning and development initiatives.
Coaching and advising managers on people matters.
Partnering with the Senior Leadership Team to shape culture, engagement and organisational growth.

About You:
You'll be a confident, hands-on HR generalist who enjoys working autonomously and can balance strategic thinking with operational delivery.

We're looking for someone who has:
Experience building or transforming a People/HR function within a growing business.
A broad HR generalist background across the full employee lifecycle.
Experience within a fast-paced, high-growth environment, ideally within technology or a scaling business.
Strong knowledge of UK employment law, with exposure to supporting European or international operations being highly desirable.
CIPD qualification (Level 5 or above preferred).
Excellent stakeholder management skills with the confidence to influence senior leaders.
A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset and a willingness to roll up your sleeves.

Why Join?
A unique opportunity to build and shape a People function from day one.
22 hours per week across 4 days, working 9:00am–3:00pm.
Hybrid working, with 2–3 days based in the London Bridge office and 1–2 days working from home.
Private equity-backed technology business experiencing rapid growth.
International business with operations across the UK and Norway, a European remit and ambitious global expansion plans.
Direct access to senior leadership and the opportunity to influence business strategy.
Support from an experienced retained HR consultancy while retaining ownership of the People function.
An entrepreneurial, collaborative culture where your ideas will have genuine impact.

If you're looking for a flexible, part-time opportunity where you can make a significant difference and build a modern People function in a scaling international business, we'd love to hear from you.
