SEND Teaching Assistant – Immediate & October Starts
Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)?
A well-established Primary School is looking for caring and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join their team on a long-term basis, with immediate and October start dates available.
The school supports pupils a wide range of needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, Cerebral Palsy, Down syndrome and complex learning and medical needs.
This is a varied role where you’ll work as part of a supportive specialist team and help pupils develop academically, socially and independently.
The Role
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:
• Provide 1:1 and small-group support tailored to individual needs
• Support pupils in the classroom and across the wider school environment
• Deliver learning activities and interventions under the guidance of teaching staff
• Encourage communication, emotional regulation, independence and social development
• Adapt activities and resources to support different learning needs
• Support pupils with sensory, physical and personal care needs where required
• Work alongside teachers, therapists and other specialist professionals
• Help create a safe, structured and inclusive environment
• Celebrate and support pupils' individual progress and achievements
