Description
Exciting opportunity for a Pricing Coordinator to join a dynamic freight Forwarder looking to expand their team.
You will have experience with Air Freight pricing in either a pure Pricing role or in an Operational role with pricing.
Working closely with the Pricing Manager, Sales Team, Operations, overseas partners, carriers and suppliers, the Pricing Co-Ordinator will help maintain pricing information, obtain supplier rates, update CargoWise and ensure quotation activity is managed accurately and within agreed timescales.
The role is ideally suited to an individual looking to develop their commercial knowledge and build a career within international freight forwarding and logistics.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the Pricing Manager with the daily management of quotation requests.
• Prepare and issue quotations for Air, Ocean, Road and Customs services.
• Obtain rates from shipping lines, airlines, hauliers, overseas partners and other suppliers.
• Ensure quotations are accurate, commercially appropriate and issued within agreed timescales.
• Assist the Sales Team with pricing requests and commercial information.
• Follow up with suppliers and partners where rates or additional information are outstanding.
• Maintain accurate pricing, supplier and quotation information within CargoWise.
• Ensure quotation records are complete and accurately maintained.
• Assist with RFIs, RFQs and customer tender submissions.
• Support the Pricing Manager with market-rate research and competitor information.
• Assist with the preparation of monthly market updates for the Marketing and Commercial teams.
• Maintain carrier, supplier and overseas partner rate files.
• Support the development and maintenance of relationships with Blaiklock’s overseas partner network.
• Identify opportunities to obtain improved buying rates and commercial terms.
• Liaise with Sales and Operations to ensure quotations accurately reflect operational requirements.
• Provide administrative support to the Pricing and Commercial function.
• Assist with commercial reporting and quotation analysis.
• Monitor outstanding quotations and assist with obtaining feedback from the Sales Team.
• Maintain confidentiality of supplier costs, commercial rates and company pricing information.
• Follow Blaiklock procedures, SOPs and commercial policies at all times.
Skills & Experience
Essential

• Strong administrative and organisational skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple quotation requests and competing priorities.
• Confident using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced commercial environment.
• Professional telephone and email manner.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Desirable
• Previous experience within freight forwarding, logistics, shipping or transport.
• Previous experience within a pricing, commercial, customer service or freight operations role.
• Knowledge of Air Freight, Ocean Freight, Road Freight or Customs.
• Experience using CargoWise or a similar freight-forwarding system.
• Understanding of freight rates, surcharges, Incoterms and international transport.
