Primary Teaching Assistant
Location: Bristol, BS5
Hours: Full-time, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday
Contract: Temporary with the view to go permeant

Purpose:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Sports-Focused TA for Behavioural Support to join our team in Bristol. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with individuals exhibiting challenging behaviours and an interest in incorporating sports-based activities into their support strategies. Our goal is to promote positive behaviour and enhance the quality of life for those we support, utilising a proactive and holistic approach.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one support and group interventions for individuals with challenging behaviours
- Utilise sports and physical activities as therapeutic tools to encourage positive behaviour and interaction
- Conduct ongoing risk assessments to ensure a safe environment for all individuals and staff
- Monitor and record the progress of individuals and adapt support plans accordingly
- Work closely with family members, carers and other professionals to provide a consistent and coordinated approach
- Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance your understanding of challenging behaviour management
- Be a positive role model, displaying a supportive and understanding attitude towards the individuals you work with

Qualifications:
- Experience in supporting individuals with challenging behaviours is essential
- Passion for sports and an understanding of how physical activity can positively influence behaviour
- A patient, resilient and flexible approach to work
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be eligible to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS check (required before commencing employment)


Additional Information:
• Hours: 8:30am – 3:00pm.
• This role is initially temporary with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
