About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and safety-conscious Roto Driver (Rotating Telehandler Operator) to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a rotating telehandler safely and efficiently on a variety of construction projects, supporting site operations by lifting, moving, and positioning materials and equipment.
This role requires a strong understanding of lifting operations, site safety procedures, and the capabilities of rotating telehandlers. The ideal candidate will work closely with site managers, crane supervisors, slingers, and groundworkers to ensure all lifting activities are carried out safely and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Operate a rotating telehandler (Roto) in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and site-specific lift plans.
Safely lift, transport, and position construction materials across the site.
Carry out daily pre-start inspections and routine maintenance checks on equipment.
Work alongside slingers/signallers and lifting teams to complete lifting operations safely.
Ensure all loads are secured and lifted within the machine's rated capacity.
Follow all health and safety regulations, site rules, and company procedures.
Report any defects, incidents, or safety concerns immediately.
Assist with general site duties when required.
Requirements
Valid CPCS or NPORS Rotating Telehandler (Roto) certification.
Proven experience operating rotating telehandlers on construction sites.
Good understanding of lifting operations and load charts.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations within the construction industry.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication skills.
Full UK driving licence preferred.
Desirable Qualifications
Appointed Person, Slinger/Signaller, or Crane Supervisor experience.
Experience working on large commercial or infrastructure projects.
First Aid certification.
