A welcoming and supportive primary school in the M22 area of Manchester is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to work full time within their specialist SEND unit.

The Role
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will be working closely with pupils within the school's SEND unit, supporting their learning, development, and wellbeing. You will work alongside the class teacher and wider support staff to help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
Support pupils with communication, social interaction and emotional regulation
Assist the class teacher with tailored learning activities
Help maintain a safe, engaging and supportive classroom environment
Encourage independence and confidence in pupils
The Ideal Candidate
Has experience working with children with SEND (school or care background considered)
Is patient, empathetic and proactive
Works well as part of a team
Is committed to supporting pupils to reach their full potential
