SEND Teaching Assistant – Autism Support – Leamington Spa Area (EYFS/KS1)
Location: Leamington Spa
Contract Type: Full-time
Salary: £89 – £105 per day / £445 – £525 per week
Axcis Education is working with a primary school in Leamington Spa to recruit a compassionate and proactive SEND Teaching Assistant. This long-term, full-time role will involve supporting children in EYFS and KS1 with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), helping them engage with learning in a calm, structured environment.
The Role:
You will:
• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with autism and communication needs.
• Use visual aids, sensory tools, and structured routines to promote engagement and self-regulation.
• Collaborate with class teachers and SENCO to adapt materials and strategies.
• Encourage independence and promote inclusive classroom practices.
• Track progress and contribute to support plans and reviews.
About You:
• Experience supporting children with autism, particularly in early years or KS1 settings.
• Confident using visual schedules, PECS, or other communication strategies.
• Patient, nurturing, and consistent in your approach.
• Able to build positive, trusting relationships with young learners.
• Passionate about inclusive education and making a lasting difference.
