Full-Time Teaching Assistant – Secondary School (Lambeth)
A high-achieving secondary school in Lambeth is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team full-time. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with SEND students, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and challenging behaviours, while also providing essential personal care.

At our school, we are committed to fostering an inclusive environment where every child can thrive. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students academically and personally, ensuring they feel valued and empowered.

- Location: Lambeth
- Hours: Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities:
In this rewarding role, you will:

Provide one-on-one and small group support to SEND students, assisting with academic and social development.

Help manage and de-escalate challenging behaviours with patience and understanding.

Assist students with personal care needs, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and safety.

Work closely with teachers and staff to implement personalised learning plans and provide tailored support.

Encourage students to develop independence, confidence, and essential life skills.

Create a positive, nurturing environment where students feel motivated and supported.

Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you must have:

- An Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service.
- The right to work in the UK.
- Previous experience as a care assistant or in a similar role, ideally supporting SEND students.
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to working with children.

- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with staff, students, and families.
