Description
We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate and resilient SEND Teaching Assistant to join our welcoming day special school from September 2026.
Our school caters for boys and girls aged 5 to 16 years, all of whom have moderate learning difficulties and hold an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
As a SEND Teaching Assistant you will:
• Work closely with class teachers and other professionals to support pupils’ learning, communication, independence and emotional regulation.
• You will assist in delivering personalised learning activities, provide 1:1 and small group support, and help pupils engage positively in classroom routines and wider school life.
• You will also play a key role in promoting positive behaviour, supporting social interaction, and ensuring all safeguarding procedures are followed to maintain a safe environment for all pupils.
We are looking for someone who is:
• Patient, adaptable and passionate about supporting children with additional needs.
• Experience working with children or young people with SEND is desirable, along with strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships.
In return, we offer a supportive team environment, ongoing professional development, and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children who benefit greatly from consistent, caring and skilled support.
Please let me know if you are interested in a role here in September 2026.
