Salary: £80,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus + Benefits

Kenton Black are representing a leading name in commercial groundworks, delivering projects that shape the built environment across the West Midlands. Due to sustained growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, we're seeking a Senior Estimator to join our dynamic pre-construction team.
?? Your Role:
As Senior Estimator, you’ll take ownership of the estimating process from initial enquiry through to tender submission. You'll be pivotal in securing profitable projects, collaborating closely with project managers, engineers, and commercial teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for groundworks packages (typically £500k–£10m+)
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and Bills of Quantities
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather pricing and scope information
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and risk factors
? What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in a similar estimating role, ideally in commercial groundworks or civils
- Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and pricing trends
- Strong analytical and numeracy skills
- Proficient in estimating software (e.g., Causeway, Conquest, or similar)
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
