Description
This is an exciting opportunity to join a respected provider of private wealth and corporate services as a Senior Paralegal within their in-house legal function. This fixed-term position offers a broad and engaging workload, supporting senior legal colleagues across company law, trust law, regulatory compliance, and internal governance.
Working within a collaborative central services team, the successful candidate will provide legal support across jurisdictions and assist with drafting, research, document control and board reporting, while contributing to the delivery of effective and commercially focused legal solutions.
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
• Drafting and updating internal precedent documents, including template minutes and resolutions.
• Supporting client transactions through legal drafting on matters such as trust distributions, appointments, exclusions and terminations.
• Assisting with legal research, preparation of board-level legal updates, and monitoring international developments.
• Reviewing and contributing to the development of internal policies and procedures.
• Maintaining internal legal communication tools including shared inboxes and project workflows.
• Supporting the Legal Counsel with litigation-related tasks and cross-functional legal projects.
• Undertaking additional duties as required by the legal team.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful applicant will hold a recognised legal qualification, such as a law degree or equivalent, and have demonstrable experience within a corporate or private client legal environment. A sound understanding of Guernsey or other offshore legal frameworks is preferred, alongside strong drafting ability, critical thinking skills, and the confidence to work proactively with minimal supervision. A client-focused, team-oriented mindset and a commitment to quality are essential for success in this role.
