Passive Fire Site Manager – Temp to Perm
Location: Richmond & Surrounding Areas
Day Rate: £250 - 270 Per Day + Mileage (Temp) | Circa £50,000 (Perm)
Contract: 3-Month Temp to Perm (CIS)
The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Passive Fire Site Manager to join a well-established and growing passive fire protection contractor delivering works across Richmond and the surrounding areas. All works are within social housing environments, with a strong and varied pipeline of secured projects across fire stopping, compartmentation and fire door programmes.
This role starts on a 3-month CIS basis at £250 per day plus mileage, transitioning to a permanent salaried position of circa £50,000 for the right candidate based on performance.
The Role
As Passive Fire Site Manager, you will take full ownership of your allocated contracts from mobilisation through to completion, managing multiple live projects simultaneously across social housing sites in Richmond. The majority of works will focus on fire door oversight, with additional responsibility across fire stopping and compartmentation works including Firefly, Rockwool curtain, partition walls and penetration sealing.
This is a leadership role for someone who can run projects independently, make decisions confidently on site and maintain excellent client relationships, escalating to the Project Manager only when necessary. You will work closely with the Project Manager and Project Coordinator, ensuring operatives have everything they need to deliver works safely, efficiently and to the required standard.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day delivery of multiple live passive fire projects across social housing sites in Richmond
Oversee fire door installation and remedial works — the primary focus of the role
Oversee fire stopping and compartmentation works including Firefly, Rockwool curtain, partition walls and penetration sealing
Take ownership of allocated contracts from mobilisation through to completion
Act as the main point of contact for clients, residents and site representatives
Plan and coordinate labour requirements with the Project Coordinator
Provide guidance, support and technical advice to installation teams
Monitor project progress and proactively identify and resolve issues independently
Organise and deliver materials to and from site where required
Ensure company storage facilities remain fully stocked with materials and equipment
Update project progress trackers and review completed works on OneTrace
Approve door specifications and installation records
Ensure all works are carried out in line with company procedures and current health and safety legislation
Carry out regular site inspections and address safety concerns immediately
What We're Looking For
Proven experience as a Site Manager or Supervisor within passive fire protection
Strong technical knowledge across fire doors, fire stopping and compartmentation — including Firefly, Rockwool curtain and partition wall systems
Experience working across social housing or occupied residential environments — essential
A natural leader who takes ownership of projects and can make decisions independently on site
Strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Comfortable using digital reporting systems — OneTrace experience desirable
Strong IT skills and comfortable using project management and reporting software
Willing to be hands-on and support site teams when required
CSCS Card — required
SMSTS or SSSTS — required
Full UK Driving Licence — required
First Aid — desirable
Asbestos Awareness — desirable
