Location: Burnley
Job Type: Full Time | 5 Days Over 7 | 40 hours plus overtime
Salary: from £32,000 - £34,000 + tips & Benefits
Are you a skilled Sous Chef passionate about cooking with fresh, high-quality ingredients? Our client, a well-established venue on the edge of the stunning Forest of Bowland, is looking for a talented Sous Chef to join their busy kitchen team.
About the Role:
You will work alongside the Head Chef to deliver exceptional food service in a fast-paced environment. The menu features fresh, seasonal produce including pastas, salads, hand-stretched pizzas, gourmet burgers, and more. This is a great chance to grow your culinary skills while leading and inspiring a kitchen team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support Head Chef in daily kitchen operations and smooth service delivery
• Lead, motivate, and manage the kitchen team during busy service times
• Maintain high standards of food preparation, presentation, and hygiene
• Assist with menu planning and new dish creation
• Oversee stock control, ordering, and kitchen organisation
• Train and develop junior kitchen staff
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations
Who We’re Looking For:
• Proven Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie experience in a fresh food environment
• Strong leadership and effective communication skills
• Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure
• Skilled in cooking from scratch with fresh, seasonal ingredients
• Dedicated to maintaining excellent kitchen standards and teamwork
