Axcis Education is working with welcoming and inclusive primary schools across St Helens, recruiting full-time and part-time Teaching Assistants for roles starting in September 2026.

Opportunities are available across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, supporting both whole-class learning and pupils with additional educational needs on a 1:1 or small-group basis.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
• Support pupils in the classroom to help them achieve their full potential.
• Work alongside teachers to deliver engaging and inclusive lessons.
• Provide one-to-one and small-group support where required.
• Encourage children's confidence, independence, and social development.
• Help create a positive, safe, and nurturing learning environment.

What We're Looking For
• A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
• A positive, proactive, and reliable attitude.
• Confidence working with children aged 4–11.
• The ability to support pupils one-to-one, in small groups, and within the classroom.
• A current DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply (we can help with this).
