SEN Teaching Assistant – Chingford (E4)
Start: Mid-January | Hours: 8:30am – 4:00pm, Mon–Fri
Contract: Full-time, long-term
A vibrant secondary school in Chingford (E4) is looking for a resilient and dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their specialist team from mid-January.
You’ll work within the school’s SEMH provision, supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health needs, including challenging behaviour. This role involves providing calm, consistent support, helping students regulate emotions, engage in learning, and build confidence.
We’re looking for someone who:
Has experience supporting secondary pupils with SEMH or behavioural challenges
Brings a calm, confident, and supportive approach to behaviour management
Communicates effectively and uses positive de-escalation strategies
Is passionate about helping every young person reach their potential
