Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: Martock
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
Pay: £90 – £95 per day (PAYE)
Axcis Education is recruiting a resilient and caring SEND Teaching Assistant to work in an all-through SEMH specialist school in Martock. This is a full-time, long-term role, supporting pupils aged 5–16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs and associated communication challenges.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide tailored support in the classroom and beyond, helping students to regulate emotions, engage with learning, and develop essential life and social skills.
Key responsibilities:
Support children with SEMH needs across primary and secondary age ranges
Assist teachers in delivering personalised learning and interventions
Encourage positive behaviour and resilience through restorative approaches
Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff

Is patient, adaptable, and resilient
Can confidently support pupils with SEMH and manage challenging behaviour
Has a passion for helping young people overcome barriers to learning
Is open to working flexibly across an all-through setting
