SEMH Specialist Teaching Assistant – Full Time
Location: Bolton
Start Date: September 2025
Daily Rate: £89 – £100 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Are you passionate about making a real difference in young people’s lives? We are seeking a dedicated SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) Specialist Teaching Assistant to join our committed team in Bolton from September 2025.
About the Role:
As an SEMH Specialist TA, you will:
• Provide targeted support to pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs, helping them access learning in a positive and inclusive environment.
• Work closely with class teachers, pastoral staff and external professionals to create and deliver bespoke support plans.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils, promoting self-esteem, resilience and positive behaviour.
• Assist with classroom activities, small group work and 1:1 interventions tailored to individual needs.
What We’re Looking For:
• Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs (in schools or similar settings).
• A patient, empathetic and proactive approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant, or equivalent experience).
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
