Job Title: Trainee Teaching Assistant
Location: Bolton, Greater Manchester
Contract Type: Full-Time/Part-Time, Temporary

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of learning materials and the classroom environment.
- Work under the direction of the class teacher to support pupils in their learning activities.
- Help maintain a safe, secure, and stimulating educational setting.
- Provide support to individual pupils, small groups, and the whole class with the aim to boost pupils' confidence and self-esteem.
- Contribute to the monitoring of pupil progress by observing and recording achievements.
- Help manage pupil behavior in the classroom and on school premises.
- Participate in training and development sessions to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
- Engage with parents and guardians about their children's progress and activities, under the guidance of the class teacher.
- Perform administrative duties as required such as photocopying, filing, and organizing resources.
- Support the school’s policies and procedures and contribute to the ethos and values of the school.
Requirements:
- Essential: Experience working with children in any setting.
- A strong commitment to personal learning and development.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Patience, flexibility, and creativity in working with young learners.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- A proactive and enthusiastic approach to tasks and the capacity to use initiative.
- Must possess or be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
Desirable:
- Relevant qualifications such as NVQ, CACHE, or Degree in Education (or working towards).
- Understanding of the UK National Curriculum and the primary education system.
- Previous experience in a classroom setting is beneficial but not mandatory.
