Description
Wedding Coordinator – Sales & Events
Location: Lancashire
Salary: £32,000+ DOE + Attractive Bonus Package
Hours: Full Time – 40 hours per week
Sector: Weddings / Events / Hospitality
Are you a natural salesperson who happens to love creating unforgettable experiences?
We’re working exclusively with an award-winning, luxury wedding venue in Lancashire to recruit an ambitious and personable Wedding Coordinator to join their sales team.
This is not a traditional wedding planner role.
At its heart, this is a sales position. You’ll be responsible for turning wedding enquiries into confirmed bookings, building relationships with couples, conducting venue viewings and proactively following up opportunities to maximise conversion and revenue.
Once the booking is secured, you’ll then become the couple’s trusted point of contact throughout their planning journey, ensuring every detail is captured and communicated seamlessly to the operational team ahead of the big day.
If you’re confident picking up the phone, enjoy working towards targets and genuinely love the thrill of converting an opportunity into a sale, this could be an excellent opportunity for you.
The Role
You’ll take ownership of the full customer journey — from that very first enquiry through to the handover to the team delivering the wedding itself.
Your key responsibilities will include:
• Converting wedding enquiries and viewings into confirmed bookings.
• Consistently working towards and exceeding agreed sales and conversion targets.
• Responding quickly and professionally to new enquiries.
• Proactively following up prospective couples by telephone, email and other communication channels.
• Conducting engaging and persuasive venue viewings.
• Building genuine rapport and understanding what matters most to each couple.
• Managing a strong sales pipeline and ensuring opportunities are never lost through lack of follow-up.
• Maximising revenue through appropriate upgrades, additional services, bedrooms and other opportunities.
• Developing a strong knowledge of packages, pricing and availability and using this effectively throughout the sales process.
• Managing contracts, deposits and subsequent payments accurately.
• Taking ownership of your portfolio of couples once they have booked.
• Building trusted relationships with couples, often over a period of several years.
• Organising and conducting wedding planning meetings and menu tastings.
• Keeping accurate records of decisions, requirements and final details.
• Ensuring all wedding information is completed, confirmed and signed off within agreed timescales.
• Ensuring guest numbers, accommodation, seating plans, timings, menus and other key details are accurately recorded.
• Providing a comprehensive handover to the operational team responsible for delivering the wedding day.
This is a sales role first.
We’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys selling.
You might love weddings. You might be exceptionally organised. You might deliver outstanding customer service.
But if you're uncomfortable picking up the phone, following up an enquiry, handling objections or confidently asking someone for their business, this probably isn't the role for you.
Successful selling here isn't about simply telling couples what the venue offers.
It's about asking the right questions, listening carefully, understanding what is important to them and demonstrating why this is the right venue for one of the most important days of their lives.
About You
You’ll be confident, personable and commercially minded, with the ability to build genuine relationships quickly.
We’re looking for someone who:
• Has a natural sales instinct and enjoys working towards targets.
• Is confident communicating by telephone, email and face-to-face.
• Can build rapport quickly and establish trust with customers.
• Is comfortable in a target-driven environment.
• Is proactive and won't wait for opportunities to come to them.
• Has excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Is articulate, professional and personable.
• Is highly organised and capable of managing multiple enquiries and couples simultaneously.
• Has exceptional attention to detail.
• Takes ownership and follows tasks through to completion.
• Can confidently manage conversations, objections and commercial negotiations.
• Works collaboratively with colleagues across different departments.
• Takes genuine pride in delivering an outstanding customer experience.
Previous experience in wedding sales, hospitality sales, events, venue sales, hotel sales, conference & events or another consultative sales environment would be highly advantageous.
We're equally interested in strong sales professionals from outside the wedding and hospitality sector who can demonstrate the right commercial mindset, personality and relationship-building skills.
What's On Offer?
• £32,000+ salary, depending on experience.
• Attractive bonus package linked to performance.
• The opportunity to join an established, award-winning wedding venue.
• A genuinely relationship-led role where you can make a significant impact on the customer journey.
• The opportunity to manage your own portfolio of couples from initial booking through to their wedding.
• A role combining sales, relationship management and events.
• A supportive team environment with an established operational team delivering the wedding day.
• The chance to build a long-term career within a highly regarded events business.
Ready to make your mark?
If you're a confident salesperson who loves building relationships, thrives on converting opportunities and enjoys working in a fast-paced, premium customer environment, we'd love to hear from you.
