Axcis Education are seeking a full time Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a student who has communication and interaction challenges and may need some intimate care. The student loves the outdoors and animals.

About the role
Working closely with class teachers and support staff, you will help pupils access their learning, build confidence and enjoy school life. Your day-to-day responsibilities will be based around providing high quality support, promoting positive behaviour and contributing to a calm, nurturing learning environment.

The perfect candidate will be:
• Friendly, patient and encouraging with students with SEMH
• Keen to support learning and help pupils feel confident in the classroom
• A clear communicator and reliable team player
• Motivated by making a positive difference in young lives

You do not need extensive formal experience. This role would suit local applicants, recent graduates, youth workers, sports coaches, existing teaching assistants or support workers seeking a rewarding role in education.

Key information
Pay: £115-£130 a day
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.45am – 4.30pm
Start date: Monday 20th April.
Location: Newton Abbot
