Job Role
Axcis is working with a primary school in Barking, looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary School Teacher to join their supportive and forward-thinking team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons that meet the diverse needs of pupils in either Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2. You will foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued, supported, and encouraged to reach their full potential.

You will:
• Deliver high-quality teaching in line with the national curriculum
• Adapt lessons to suit the needs of all learners, including SEN and EAL pupils
• Assess and track pupil progress, providing regular feedback to pupils and parents
• Contribute to the wider school life, including extra-curricular activities and events
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and leadership
• Maintain a safe and nurturing learning environment

Requirements
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching in a primary school setting
• Strong knowledge of the national curriculum
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• A reflective and flexible approach to teaching
• Experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
• Experience using assessment to inform teaching and learning
• A willingness to contribute to the wider school community
• Experience with phonics programmes
