Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Global Compliance team at this leading offshore law firm-led professional services business. Offering a collaborative culture and inclusive values, our client is seeking an experienced compliance professional to support the development and monitoring of regulatory and compliance frameworks across multiple jurisdictions.

Based in either Guernsey or Jersey, the successful candidate will contribute to the firm’s risk and compliance programme, ensuring alignment with evolving international regulatory requirements while engaging with legal, governance, and business services teams.

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
• Developing and updating global risk and compliance policies in line with financial crime, data protection, local regulatory standards, and the firm’s internal compliance frameworks.
• Testing controls within existing policies under the Compliance Monitoring Programme, identifying areas for procedural improvements.
• Collaborating with the Governance, Legal, HR, and Finance teams to ensure a consistent approach to legal and regulatory compliance.
• Providing input into policy updates and periodic business reports, including responses to stakeholder inquiries and regulatory reporting obligations.
• Supporting the analysis of new legal and regulatory developments and advising on required adaptations to internal policy.
• Working alongside key teams across the firm’s operating jurisdictions to embed a culture of compliance.

The ideal candidate will have:
The successful candidate will have a background in client administration, compliance, or operational risk functions within regulated financial services. A sound understanding of regulatory environments in Jersey and/or Guernsey is essential, with knowledge of Cayman, BVI, UK, or EU jurisdictions considered an advantage.

Excellent communication and analytical skills, the ability to manage and interpret complex data sets, and a collaborative, proactive approach are key. Experience with AML regulations and prior involvement in compliance monitoring or policy development will be highly regarded.
