Axcis are working closely with an ASD-specific special school in the Winson Green area which has a support staff vacancy for a teaching assistant with experience of working with children with complex ASD and distressing behaviour needs. The role is based in the school's reception class, working children aged 4-5 years. Due to their additional needs the children are currently working at younger ages developmentally, and therefore experience of the EYFS curriculum is required.

Type of SEND support experience required:
- Complex Autism
- Distressing/challenging behaviour towards themselves and adults
- Sensory challenges
- Personal care needs
- Experience supporting children within the EYFS

This is a full-time role on an ongoing basis starting in September 2025, initially going through to July 2026, the school is looking for the successful candidate to start as soon as possible. This is a great opportunity for a teaching assistant looking for a school with a strong community spirit.
