HR Advisor – 13-Month FTC (Maternity Cover)
Technology Sector | Watford | Hybrid Working | Up to £50,000
Start Date: December 2025

Are you an experienced HR professional looking for a broad, hands-on role supporting organisational transformation and change? This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading business in the technology sector as an HR Advisor on a 13-month maternity cover contract.

You’ll play a key role in delivering people initiatives, supporting organisational change, and leading on both individual and collective redundancy consultations as part of ongoing transformation projects.

This role is aligned to an HR Business Partner model, offering exposure across the full employee lifecycle — from onboarding and employee relations to performance, reward, and talent initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, providing high-quality, consistent HR guidance across all areas of the employee lifecycle.

Support organisational transformation, including planning and managing redundancy consultations and other change management activities.

Coach and influence line managers to ensure compliance with employment law and alignment with company policies and best practice.

Manage employee relations cases, absence management, and welfare matters with professionalism and care.

Partner with HRBPs and the wider HR team to deliver people-related projects across the UK and Europe.

Support cyclical HR activities including performance reviews, salary review processes, and bonus schemes.

Collaborate with the talent team on recruitment and selection to ensure the best talent is brought into the organisation.

Contribute to a culture of diversity, inclusion, and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Bring

Proven experience in a generalist HR role, ideally within a commercial and/or technology environment.

Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.

Experience supporting organisational change and redundancy processes (individual and collective).

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

A proactive, flexible, and solutions-focused mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Confidence working in a matrix or international environment is desirable.

Proficiency in MS Office and HR Information Systems.
