Location: Bolton, Greater Manchester
Salary: £37,000 per annum + tips

Perfect Recruitment are working with an established food-led venue in the Bolton area to recruit an experienced Sous Chef to join their busy kitchen team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable, organised and passionate chef with a strong background in high-volume, fresh food kitchens. Working as part of a larger kitchen brigade, you’ll play an important role in maintaining food quality, supporting the Head Chef and ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently during busy service periods.
We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, thrives in a fast-paced environment and is keen to build a long-term future with a stable team.
Key Responsibilities
• Supporting the Head Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
• Preparing, cooking and presenting high-quality fresh food to consistently high standards.
• Helping to lead, motivate and support the wider kitchen team.
• Ensuring smooth and efficient service in a high-volume environment.
• Maintaining excellent standards of food hygiene, health and safety.
• Managing stock rotation, storage and waste control.
• Assisting with ordering, stock control and kitchen organisation.
• Ensuring preparation, cleanliness and service standards are consistently maintained.
The Ideal Candidate
• Previous experience as a Sous Chef or in a strong senior kitchen role.
• A solid background in high-volume, fresh food kitchens.
• Organised, reliable and able to remain calm under pressure.
• A strong team player who can support and lead colleagues effectively.
• Consistent employment history, demonstrating commitment and longevity in previous roles.
• A positive attitude and a genuine commitment to maintaining high standards.
• Reliable transport or the ability to drive is preferred due to the location.
