A welcoming and inclusive primary school in L30 is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team this September. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils across EYFS to KS2, many of whom have complex needs including non-verbal communication, sensory processing challenges, and social-emotional difficulties.
About the Role
Working within the school’s dedicated SEN provision, you'll play a vital role in supporting children both academically and emotionally, helping them grow in confidence, communication, and independence.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing tailored 1:1 and small group support
Supporting pupils with communication, emotional regulation, and learning tasks
Promoting independence, social interaction, and a sense of achievement
Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external therapists to ensure consistent, high-quality support
Each day, you'll be making a meaningful impact in the lives of children who need it most.
What We’re Looking For
Experience supporting children or young people with SEN (in school or care settings)
Confidence working across age groups from EYFS to KS2
A DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply (we can help with this)
A calm, patient, and adaptable approach with a genuine passion for inclusive education
