Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: Salisbury, Wiltshire
Job Type: Full-time
Hours: 8:15am - 2:45pm, Monday to Friday (wednesday to 8.15am to 16:00pm)
Salary: £90 - £95 per day

We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team in Salisbury, Wiltshire, for a full-time position. About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide support to children with a range of needs, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities and SEMH. You will work closely with the classroom teachers and the SEND Coordinator to deliver inclusive education and assist students in accessing the curriculum.

Responsibilities:

- Assist in the educational and social development of students under the direction and guidance of the Lead Teacher and Special Educational Needs Coordinator.
- Support students with SEND and SEMH in a trauma-informed manner, understanding their unique needs and adapting support accordingly.
- Implement individual education plans and behaviour plans, and monitor progress.
- Facilitate small group work and one-to-one support, both in and out of the classroom.
- Create a supportive and nurturing learning environment.
- Assist with the preparation of teaching materials, equipment, and classroom displays.
- Contribute to the school's assessment process by tracking and recording student progress.
- Attend and participate in relevant meetings and training sessions.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all aspects of school life, particularly concerning student information.
- Promote and model positive behaviour and uphold the school's policies and codes of conduct.

Requirements:

- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or similar, with a focus on SEND or SEMH.
- A trauma-informed approach to working with children and an understanding of attachment theory.
- An NVQ level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent qualification is desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
- A commitment to professional growth and continuous development.
- Enhanced DBS check or willingness to undertake one.
