Position: Full-Time Teaching Assistant
Location: Exeter
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm
Pay: £93 - £105 per day depending on experience

Axcis Education are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a unique all-through SEND school in Exeter. About the School

This specialist SEND school supports pupils from primary through to secondary age, with a particular focus on students experiencing anxiety, alongside a range of additional needs including:
• Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
• ADHD
• Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
• Behavioural needs
• Communication and interaction difficulties

The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping pupils feel safe, supported and ready to learn. You will work closely with teachers and the wider SEND team to provide both academic and emotional support throughout the school day.

Your responsibilities will include:
• Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils
• Supporting students with social, emotional and mental health needs
• Encouraging engagement and participation in lessons
• Assisting with behaviour management strategies
• Promoting independence and confidence
• Supporting pupils both inside and outside of the classroom
• Helping create a calm, structured and inclusive learning environment
