Axcis Education is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school near Blandford Forum.

About the role:
Working alongside class teachers and the wider support team, you will provide support across Key Stage 2, including 1:1 and small group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN). You will help children overcome barriers to learning, build confidence and engage positively in the classroom. Your responsibilities will include supporting classroom activities, encouraging positive behaviour and contributing to a calm, structured and nurturing environment where every pupil has the opportunity to succeed.

About you:
• Friendly, patient and approachable with a genuine passion for working with children
• Has professional or personal experience supporting individuals with SEN
• Confident providing 1:1 and small group support
• Able to build positive relationships with children and encourage their engagement in learning
• A clear communicator who works well as part of a supportive team
• Reliable, adaptable and motivated by making a positive difference to children’s lives

Whether you are an experienced Teaching Assistant or looking to take your first step into education, your experience in health and social care, support work, youth services or similar roles could provide valuable transferable skills for this rewarding position.

Key information
• Pay: £14.25–£14.98 per hour
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm
• Start date: ASAP
